Our first get together, where we tell you all about the 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) Anybody who is interested in taking part in the 48HFP can join us for this first get together. We will give you a rundown of how things work, screen national & international films from previous years and will answer all your questions in regards to the 48 Hour Film Project. You will get the chance to network & meet other filmmakers with whom you can team up. Feel free to bring your own computer. Wireless internet will be available.

2. The Kick Off

Friday, 14th October 2011, 7:00pm Sharp, The Square, Federation Square

The 48 sleepless hours start here. Each team leader will draw a genre and the prop, line & character that must be included in your film. All team must register before 6:30PM so make sure you are there at 6PM - and off you go!

3. The Drop Off

Sunday, 16th October 2011 from 6:00pm, The Atrium, Federation Square

The return of your finished film. Don't be late - otherwise you will not be eligible to win a prize.

*This is very important
Any film handed in after 7.30pm will be screened at one of the initial screenings - but will not be elligable for any prize or award. It is very important also, that you hand in all of the required documents with your film.

Another reason to be on time is the little surprise we have prepared for each team if they make it to the Drop Off in time.

4. General Screenings

4th, 5th and 6th November 2011, Palace Kino Cinema, 45 Collins Street, Melbourne

ALL of the films will be screened on the big screen. The winners that will be screened again on the awards night will be announced. The audience will get the chance to vote for their favourite film that will go to the Awards Night.

5. Awards Night

Friday, 11th November 2011, Palace Kino Cinema, 45 Collins Street, Melbourne

The Best 12 films of the 48HFP Melbourne 2011! The winners will be announced & receive their Awards, so prepare a little speech - because you might just have to come up on stage & accept one of the special prizes!
